You’ve finally decided to step out of your comfort zone and have a boudoir session done! Congratulations! Now what?? The panic and shopping list simultaneously increase as your heart starts to race…what have I done? What do I bring? Can I do this??

NO WORRIES, SISTER! I’ve got you! Here’s a list of 5 necessities to get you prepped for your boudoir session.

1. A nude thong.

Why a nude thong? In case you need to borrow a piece of lingerie from the studio closet. We’ve got all sizes in stock and are frequently adding to our wardrobe. No, I don’t need a shopping intervention…(laughs nervously…)

2. Heels.

No, not the heels you’d wear to work. I’m talking sexy, 4” minimum, totally impractical, fall on your ass heels.

Why? They lengthen your body, make your legs look more muscular, and they’re damn sexy. (Don’t worry, I won’t make you walk in them.) I recommend black and nude colors. Tip: you can return shoes to the store if you don’t wear them outside. Amazon is an amazing resource for this.

3. Jewelry/Sparkling things

Again, things you might not wear to the office. Jewelry can really make a photo pop. Amazon is another great resource for this as well. Or wear that special pair of earrings your husband gave you.

4. Nail Polish

It’s important to add that finishing touch to your look. No, you don’t need to run out and get a mani/pedi or acrylics if you’re a natural girl. But I do recommend at the very least, putting on a clear coat of polish. If you’re going for color, choose something neutral (white, black, gray) or something red/pink. I love neon green nail polish, too, but this is the time to accentuate your overall look, not highlight your awesome nail color.

5. Most important…YOU

Well, clearly, you are bringing yourself. What I’m talking about is your confidence, your “why” for doing this, your personality…and my job is to capture all of that in the best light/posing. Come with an open mind and be ready to step outside your normal comfort level. I’ll guide you and take care of the rest. Remember: you are a badass woman, worthy of love and respect. See you soon!
